The base layer serves as a diffusion barrier, it is characterised by high corrosion protection and consists mainly of nickel.

The carrier layer serves as an additional diffusion barrier, it is characterised by high hardness and closedness / gas tightness and consists mainly of nickel.

The hard chrome layer (micro-cracked) as the final layer is stable against external influences and ensures demoulding.
